Our Vision & Project
Our Vision ~ How We Work
We remain a small company, but more importantly, a small family.
As of now, we work with three artisans: a leather worker, a sewer and a young apprentice. We have equipped ourselves with high end tools and materials, that we import from different parts of the world. We source the finest Spanish leather, high end Riri zipper, and high quality hardware from the US. Finally, our colored fabrics, come from Bolivia - which are a mix of natural and acrylic fibers.
Why do we import all our materials?
KEARA wishes to contribute to the setting of quality standards for the emerging luxury leather goods sector in Senegal. Excellence remains in details, and we don't overlook a single one of them!
We want to make sure that all KEARA bags & accessories last for years, this is why we invested in the best quality materials.
Our medium term project is to set up a workshop / training center, equipped with the best tools and machines for leather work. We would like to train young artisans to the profession, through our senior artisans, and contribute to the professionalisation of the leather goods sector in Senegal.
Setting up a training center will allow us to optimize our production processes, train young artisans, create more jobs and teach skills that will last forever.
It's not about charity, it's about doing business and it works better.
